About Provider Performance
Commercial advice shaped by ownership, operations and transactions.
Provider Performance works with established NDIS business owners on the commercial issues that ultimately determine the quality and value of the business — earnings, management capability, operational control, sustainable growth, owner dependency and enterprise value.
The perspective comes from acquiring, owning, operating and improving businesses — and advising business owners through transactions.
Three perspectives
- 01
Operator
How can the business perform better?
- 02
Owner
How can the business become stronger and less dependent on ownership?
- 03
Acquirer
What creates confidence, reduces risk and supports enterprise value?
A stronger business should work from all three perspectives.
The perspective
The numbers are only part of the business.
An NDIS provider can be growing while profitability is weakening. Revenue can increase while management complexity, labour costs and overhead increase faster. A business can report healthy EBITDA while remaining heavily dependent on its owner. And two businesses producing similar earnings can carry very different levels of risk and enterprise value.
Provider Performance looks beyond the headline numbers to understand the commercial system underneath them.
01
Financial performance
What is the business actually earning?
02
Operating performance
Where are margin, labour, utilisation and overhead being controlled — or lost?
03
Management capability
Can the organisation perform without decisions continually routing through the owner?
04
Sustainable scale
Can the business absorb further growth without creating disproportionate complexity?
05
Enterprise value
How do earnings quality, management depth, risk and growth potential influence the quality and value of the business?
Operating experience
Experience from inside the business.
Provider Performance brings together hands-on NDIS operating experience with commercial, financial and M&A expertise.
Our experience includes structuring and negotiating the acquisition of an established NDIS provider, including vendor-finance arrangements; working within the acquired business at CFO level; reviewing profit centres and underlying business economics; identifying and removing non-core and unprofitable activities; and working with ownership and management on financial performance, organisational structure and growth.
That operating experience is combined with M&A advisory — understanding not only how to improve a business from the inside, but how earnings quality, management depth, risk and growth are ultimately viewed from the other side of a transaction.

Principal
Scott Williams
“The objective is not simply to improve the numbers. It is to build a stronger business behind the numbers.”
Principal, Provider Performance
Scott works with business owners on performance, growth, organisational capability and enterprise value.
His experience spans business ownership and operations, acquisitions, financial management, business improvement and M&A advisory. He has owned and operated businesses outside the NDIS sector as well as worked directly inside an established NDIS provider following its acquisition.
Within the NDIS business, his role has included CFO-level responsibility and work across financial performance, profit centres, management structure, operating economics, organisational capability and growth.
Combined with M&A advisory experience, this gives Scott a perspective across the business lifecycle — acquiring a business, operating and improving it, building enterprise value and understanding how a business is ultimately assessed in a transaction.
This experience shapes the Provider Performance approach: understand how the business actually works, identify what is constraining performance or value, determine what matters most, and focus management attention accordingly.
Commercial discipline
Better decisions start with better visibility.
Provider Performance is built around a straightforward principle: owners should be able to understand where the business makes money, where value is being lost, what is constraining growth, where management dependency creates risk and which priorities deserve attention first.
- 01
Evidence before opinion
Decisions should be grounded in the economics and operating reality of the business.
- 02
Priority before activity
Not everything should be fixed at once. Management attention should go where it can create the greatest commercial impact.
- 03
Capability before complexity
Growth should be supported by management capability and infrastructure rather than simply adding more activity.
- 04
Value as an outcome
Enterprise value is built through stronger earnings, stronger management and lower business risk.

Start with the business as it stands today.
Whether the priority is stronger margins, better management visibility, controlled growth, reduced owner dependency or preparing for a future transaction, the starting point is understanding what is actually happening inside the business.
